Ninh Thuan Business Association: Empowering Businesses to Boost Competitiveness

The business community of Ninh Thuan province has grown rapidly in both quantity and quality in recent years. Ninh Thuan Business Association has strongly contributed to that rapid growth. Mr. Nguyen Tien Nghi, Chairman of the Association, pledged: "The association will always accompany and share difficulties with its members and gradually become an effective bridge for the government and businesses."

An effective "bridge"

"In the early days of operation, the association only had a few dozen members. After 15 years of development, it has admitted 100 members from many fields and industries such as construction, seafood, tourism, agriculture, bank, energy and education. Besides, the association has carried out various meaningful activities like building houses for the poor (in Ninh Phuoc and Bac Ai districts), funding programs initiated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Ninh Thuan and the Ninh Thuan Youth Union. The association not only protects legitimate rights and interests of its members but acts as a liaison for economic cooperation between its member companies of all economic sectors that seek to improve their competitiveness in an integrated economy," said Nghi.

In 2023, the association also organized meetings and business talks for the State Bank of Vietnam and commercial banks with its companies to grasp information on monetary and financial policies as well as learn, share and solve difficulties for them in accessing credit capital. At the same time, it has also attended many business meetings organized by the Provincial People's Committee.

A business companion

“We always actively keep government - business contacts, promptly make recommendations, propose issues and represent our members or local businesses to the government when they confront matters that need to be resolved. Every year, the association also coordinates with relevant agencies to award outstanding enterprises and entrepreneurs to timely inspire them to work for better business achievements," he said.

Member businesses have always been creative and flexible in changing their business strategies to overcome difficult times, he added. In addition, workflow digitization, information technology application and digital transformation in business administration and operations have been changed positively. Business activities in Ninh Thuan province have so far recovered and grown quite well. Local companies have gradually improved their reputation and brands, affirmed their role and become one of main catalyst forces not only on the economic front but also in social security for people.

In addition, to successfully launch the District and Department Competitiveness Index (DDCI), the association will continue to conduct surveys to get opinions on matters of concern from investors and enterprises in the course of settling administrative procedures; analyze, evaluate and objectively reflect operating situations as well as difficulties faced by investors, Nghi said.

“In the coming time, the Ninh Thuan Business Association will also work with governments at all levels to support businesses to expand their scale, improve productivity, quality, performance and competitiveness; actively support them in improving legal, professional and executive skills and provide training on methodical, lawful management, administration and organization of their businesses in the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Integration - Development," he added.
