Ford Vietnam Limited Co., the second largest foreign-invested carmaker in Vietnam, has announced reductions of retail prices for its three car brands from February 16, following Toyota’s price cut, which took effect on February 1.

The three brands include Focus, Mondeo and Escape. The price cut is from US$500 to US$1,500 each. In the meantime, the US-invested company raised retail prices for its three other brands Ranger, Transit and Everest. The price rise is between US$600 and US$2,400 each, depending on the model.

In January, Ford Vietnam sold 267 cars, down 21.9 per cent on year. It held 17.6 per cent of the market share.
