On October 24 in Phu Xuyen, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Phu Xuyen District, held the opening ceremony for the 2024 Exhibition to promote and connect OCOP products, handicrafts, and traditional village industries.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the Exhibition
With 100 standard booths and four display areas, the exhibition contributes to raising the value of handicrafts and OCOP products from Hanoi and particularly Phu Xuyen District.
The exhibition serves as a bridge to introduce Phu Xuyen’s achievements and strengths in economic, cultural, and social development. It provides businesses and producers with opportunities to promote brands, seek partners, expand markets, and foster cooperation, promoting sustainable development of craft villages while preserving cultural values.
Phu Xuyen District, located approximately 30 km south of Hanoi, has maintained and developed traditional craft villages. The district has nine villages recognized as “Traditional Craft Villages of Hanoi.”

In 2023, the city certified the OCOP design, promotion, and sales center in Chuyen My, Phu Xuyen, as a four-star model. This serves as a highlight for the district’s craft promotion.
At the exhibition, organizers announced and presented Hanoi’s decision to recognize Phu Tuc Commune as a tourism craft village, inaugurated the exhibition, and held auctions for village products and bonsai, with live broadcasts on social media platforms.
The exhibition, running from October 24 to 27, 2024, at Phu Xuyen District’s central stadium, enhances the value of handicrafts, OCOP products, and traditional crafts from Hanoi and Phu Xuyen, establishing a value chain from creative design, production, and processing to marketing. The event integrates traditional village values with community and agricultural tourism, contributing to Vietnam’s National Target Program on New Rural Development for the 2021-2025 period.
