NAPAS, Mastercard and Payoo Launch Exciting Year-end Promotion

Following the success of the summer promotion program that took place from July to September 2024, the Vietnam National Payment Corporation (NAPAS) and Mastercard continue their collaboration by launching the "Elegant Tap - Stylish Living" campaign during the year-end holiday season. Running from now through December 2024, this promotion aims to promote contactless payment methods and encourage the adoption of this convenient, secure payment option.

The summer promotion, which spanned nearly 6,000 points of sale within Payoo's nationwide payment acceptance network, saw a 38% increase in contactless payment transactions, highlighting growing consumer interest and adoption in this payment method. Contactless payment has become a global trend, valued for its speed, convenience, security, and safety.

Continuing from the success of the summer promotion, NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo have launched the year-end holiday promotion as part of the "Elegant Tap - Stylish Living" campaign with similar terms across nearly 20 partners and over 6,000 sales points in Payoo network. Participating sectors include supermarkets, convenience stores, food services, entertainment, pharmaceuticals, and education. During the specific application period of each promotion, customers can enjoy discounts either as a fixed amount or a percentage of their total order value when paying with NAPAS and Mastercard contactless cards.

Major brands participating in the year-end discounts include the AEON MALL, Long Chau and An Khang pharmacies, Bach Hoa Xanh, 3Sach Mart supermarkets, FamilyMart and Ministop convenience stores, McDonald's restaurant, and English education centers Yola and Wall Street English.

Specific offers include:

  • A discount of 20,000 VND on orders from 40,000 VND at McDonald's, Long Châu pharmacies, FamilyMart, and Ministop.
  • A 15% discount (up to a maximum of 100,000 VND) on each shopping order at the seven AEON MALL shopping centers in Ha Dong, Long Bien, Hai Phong, Binh Tan, Tan Phu, Binh Dương, and Hue, as well as at 3Sach Mart supermarkets.
  • A 15% discount (up to a maximum of 500,000 VND) on each order for English course payments at YOLA and Wall Street English, applicable to both full and installment payments.
  • A 15% discount (up to a maximum of 50,000 VND) on shopping orders at An Khang pharmacies or Bach Hoa Xanh supermarkets.

This year-end program is strategically planned to coincide with major shopping events such as Black Friday, Christmas, and New Year, aligning with the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s "National Focused Promotion 2024 – Vietnam Grand Sale 2024". Through these efforts, NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo aim to deliver significant value to cardholders while supporting businesses in reaching their year-end sales goals.

NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo have long been collaborating on various initiatives that benefit Vietnamese consumers and individuals, from festive campaigns to social impact initiatives. Recently, NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo launched the social welfare initiative “Tap to Share, Give Hope”, providing 2,010 free cancer screenings for underprivileged women in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The program also pledged support for 200 advanced screenings (valued at 5 million VND each) for women at high risk of cancer. The campaign has seen millions of contactless transactions and thousands of shares of the hashtag #tapandshare on social media, raising a total of 3.5 billion VND for the free cancer screening project for women.
