As a suburban district, in recent years, Chuong My district has identified agricultural development, new rural construction, and improving people's lives as important tasks. Thanks to the participation of the entire political system and the solidarity and unity of the people, it has created a strong driving force for socio-economic development, the appearance of the countryside and people's lives have changed significantly.
Determining that building a new rural area has a starting point but no end point, after achieving the standards of a new rural district, Chuong My continued to embark on building an advanced new rural area and has achieved many positive results.
Many positive results
In recent times, Chuong My district has made good use of available resources and potentials to develop the economy, culture and society, promptly completing the criteria to meet the standards of a new rural district and an advanced new rural district. Up to now, there have been 11 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards, 1 commune meeting the model new rural standards. With the determination of the local Party Committee, government and the consensus of the people and businesses, Chuong My district has set a goal of having 18 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards by the end of 2025, exceeding the set plan and having 10 communes meeting the model new rural standards.
Identifying linkage as an important key to help build and develop agriculture in a modern direction, Chuong My district has successfully implemented many linkage and cooperation models in agricultural production, creating momentum to build an advanced new rural area, contributing to the sustainable development of the district's agriculture. The Dong Phu organic rice production and consumption chain with a production scale of 48 hectares has linked production and consumption with 3 enterprises to bring Dong Phu organic rice products to a number of provinces and cities nationwide and for export; The safe vegetable production and consumption chain of Chuc Son clean vegetable and fruit cooperative with a scale of 38 hectares provides vegetable products for collective kitchens of a number of large hospitals, schools and supermarkets in Hanoi; The production and consumption chain of vegetables and grapefruit of Nui Be grapefruit cooperative with an area of 18 hectares, products are consumed at supermarket systems and clean food store chains, restaurants and online sales on e-commerce platforms. In addition, the district also promotes restructuring of the agricultural sector, building concentrated specialized production areas in accordance with the planning; focusing on improving the quality of crop varieties, livestock, aquatic products and applying advanced technology to production; create conditions for enterprises and cooperatives to link value chains from production, processing and consumption of products.
Sharing about the plan to build new rural areas in Chuong My district in the coming time, Secretary of the District Party Committee Nguyen Van Thang said: the district will continue to promote restructuring of the agricultural sector associated with building new rural areas, promoting sustainable agricultural development associated with science and technology, innovation, in line with market demand; promote economic restructuring within the agricultural sector towards increasing the proportion of livestock, aquaculture and agricultural services; develop ecological, organic, circular, environmentally friendly agriculture and adapt to climate change towards quality and efficient agriculture. Strengthen management and strict use of land for effective agricultural production; build a value chain of key agricultural products associated with the potential and strengths of the locality.
Associated with urban development
After more than 3 years of implementing Program No. 07-CTr/HU dated March 18, 2021 of the Chuong My District Party Committee on "Promoting the effective implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, associated with restructuring the agricultural sector and developing the rural economy, improving the material and spiritual life of farmers in the period of 2021-2025", Chuong My district has mobilized more than 1,600 billion VND to implement the New Rural Construction Program.
Along with that, the District New Rural Program Coordination Office, the Working Group assisting the Steering Committee and the district's professional departments have inspected and evaluated the implementation results of the criteria for advanced new rural communes for 05 communes: Ngoc Hoa, Tan Tien, Thuong Vuc, Huu Van, Thanh Binh; inspected and evaluated the implementation results of the criteria for model new rural communes for 04 communes: Hop Dong, Quang Bi, Dong Phu, Tran Phu. At the same time, direct the communes to complete the criteria that have not been achieved, basically achieve, maintain and improve the quality of the achieved criteria. Of which, people contributed nearly 180 billion VND (including the total value of working days, donated land, cash, and objects). Thanks to that, the appearance of the countryside in Chuong My is increasingly spacious and clean; the quality of life of the people is increasingly improved. If in 2021, the average income of people in the area reaches 65 million VND/person/year, by 2023 it will increase to 74 million VND, estimated to reach 80 million VND in 2024 and expected to reach 85 million VND in 2025; The poverty rate has decreased from 529 households (in 2021) to 99 households (in 2023) and there will be basically no poor households in 2024.
With the achieved results, Chuong My district expects that by the end of 2025, 20/25 targets will be achieved and exceeded compared to the targets set by the Program. Of which, it is expected that by the end of 2025, there will be 18 advanced NTM communes, an increase of 8 communes compared to the plan. At the conference, delegates clarified the achieved results, analyzed the causes and proposed solutions to complete the unachieved targets in the coming time.
Secretary of Chuong My District Party Committee Nguyen Van Thang affirmed that building NTM has only a starting point and no ending point. Therefore, Party committees and authorities at all levels from the district to the grassroots level continue to focus on leading, directing, and completing the goals, targets, and tasks set by the program. aIn which, the district continues to build a civilized and modern new rural area in the direction of urban development, preserving, embellishing and promoting the traditional cultural values of each region and locality; developing rural infrastructure; rapidly improving living conditions in rural areas. In addition, the district continues to focus on environmental sanitation, expanding the model of organic waste treatment in households, residential clusters, communes, and inter-communes in rural areas; developing models of bright, green, clean, beautiful, safe and civilized villages and hamlets, so that each village and commune becomes a livable countryside...
