Hanoi Promotes Consumption of OCOP Products Through E-commerce Platforms

At the same time, it clearly defines the role of production linkage and promotes local intelligence to create diverse products, ensure quality, and create stable jobs.

To date, the whole country has more than 13,000 OCOP products with 3 stars or more. Of these, nearly 74% have 3 stars, nearly 25% have 4 stars, 42 products have 5 stars, and the rest have 5-star potential.

According to the report of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the city has achieved positive results after nearly five years of implementing the OCOP Program (One Commune, One Product).

Specifically, 29/30 districts, towns, and cities of Hanoi have evaluated and classified more than 2,769 OCOP products. Of which, 6 products have achieved 5 stars, 12 potential products have achieved 5 stars, 1,485 products have achieved 4 stars,s, and 1,266 products have achieved 3 stars. These numbers show the diversity and quality of OCOP products in Hanoi, and at the same time reflect the potential in expanding the consumption market through e-commerce channels.

In the digital age, online shopping on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and Tiki or through sales channels such as Facebook, and Zalo is becoming a popular consumption trend. This is also an opportunity for OCOP products to reach more customers, enhancing brand value and reputation. According to the leader of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture, to make the most of these channels, OCOP enterprises need to focus on investing in product and service quality, building the reputation of sellers, and developing a professional sales management system. Therefore, Hanoi will strengthen communication and promotion of OCOP products, while promoting the application of information technology in product management and digitization, and building a traceability system according to the value chain.

In addition, the Government and localities need to continue to support and train OCOP enterprises and cooperatives in proficiently using e-commerce platforms, thereby improving competitiveness and meeting market demand. Incentive policies such as tax reduction, support for advertising,g and transportation costs will also be the driving force for OCOP products to continue to expand in the domestic and international markets.

Raising awareness of digital transformation and applying information technology in business, product promotion and consumption is a key factor in connecting OCOP products with consumers. This not only stimulates consumption and promotes production, but also contributes to narrowing the economic gap between regions and increasing people's income.

Accordingly, OCOP enterprises need to diversify their product portfolio and ensure quality and traceability. At the same time, equipping e-commerce skills and promoting direct interaction with customers will help affirm the value and reputation of the product; Investing in technology, from traceability systems to applying artificial intelligence to optimize sales processes and customer care, are also important factors to improve the competitiveness of OCOP products.
