Currently, Phu Xuyen district has 154/154 villages and residential areas with crafts, of which 43 craft villages and traditional craft villages are recognized by the City People's Committee. This is a great advantage for the district to develop the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program.

Taking advantage of combining the power of technology
From that advantage, along with local support, the district has 231 OCOP products, of which products from craft villages account for 70%. Phu Xuyen is currently one of the leading districts in the city in implementing the OCOP Program.
Phu Xuyen district leaders emphasized: Digital transformation is the key to promoting Phu Xuyen district's OCOP products to go further, dominating domestic and foreign markets. In the context of e-commerce and digital platforms developing strongly, reaching customers through online channels is extremely necessary. The district has been implementing many programs to support local businesses and enterprises to shift from traditional business models to digital business models. Using social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, TikTok to promote craft village products has helped many establishments expand their markets.
In particular, the district has set up accounts to promote craft villages on social networks and organize livestream sales, creating a direct connection between producers and consumers, under the name "Phu Xuyen Craft Village, Hanoi". The results achieved in the past time are very encouraging, the number of interactions and followers has increased sharply, serving the promotion and livestream sales. After more than two months of implementation, the account has received more than 31,000 interactions on Facebook and more than 1,400 followers on TikTok.

With strong investment in industrial infrastructure, digital transformation in business, along with building collective brands for craft village products..., Phu Xuyen district is increasingly affirming its position in developing OCOP products. The combination of tradition and modernity is the key for Phu Xuyen's OCOP craft village products to reach a large market, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Owner of the production facility of wooden products, mother-of-pearl inlay, and fine arts in Son Ha commune, Bui Xuan Loi (one of the typical OCOP products of Phu Xuyen district) shared that since wooden fine arts were recognized as a 4-star OCOP product, his production facility has received great attention and support from the district government. Promotional programs, participation in fairs, and online sales training activities have helped the facility access the market more easily. This not only increases sales, but also increases brand recognition for craft village products.
According to statistics from the People's Committee of Phu Xuyen district, 100% of the district's villages have crafts. Many craft villages in the district have been granted collective trademarks by the Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology), such as: Phu Yen leather shoes, Co Hoang confectionery, Nam Tien interior wood, Van Hoang incense, etc.

In reality, after the entities whose products were recognized by the city and district as meeting OCOP standards, production and business were more favorable, creating prestige with customers, product competitiveness in the market increased, revenue was higher year after year, maintaining and creating jobs for many workers.
Currently, the consumption market for products of OCOP entities in Phu Xuyen is mainly domestic. In addition, there are a number of OCOP entities with export products, such as: Rattan woven by Hien Luong Export Rattan and Bamboo Co., Ltd. and Hung Viet Rattan and Bamboo Construction and Trading Co., Ltd. (Phu Tuc commune); handicraft products of Phuoc Uyen Handicraft Cooperative (Phu Xuyen town)...
Actively supporting people and businesses
Recognizing the district's advantage of having many craft villages, developing the craft village economy has an important position and role in promoting economic restructuring and building new rural areas of the district, in recent times, Phu Xuyen has focused on directing and proposing many solutions to develop craft villages associated with the OCOP Program and achieved some important results.
Regarding infrastructure development, the district has planned 12 craft village industrial clusters with a total area of over 114 hectares, of which 4/12 clusters have been established with a total area of over 30.5 hectares. In 2024, the district proposed that the city establish 4 more craft village industrial clusters: Phuong Duc (7 hectares); Son Ha (5 hectares); Van Hoang (12.5 hectares), Nam Tien (32 hectares) to support craft villages in expanding production areas.

Along with that, Phu Xuyen has so far had 3 communes recognized by the City People's Committee as having craft village tourism spots: Van Tu sewing craft; Chuyen My mother-of-pearl inlay, lacquer; Phu Yen leather shoes. Phu Xuyen district chose October 26 as the day to honor traditional craft villages, and has so far organized 8 festivals, both honoring and supporting promotion, searching, and expanding markets for craft villages, production and business establishments. In 2023, the District People's Committee established and launched the district's e-commerce platform with the domain name http://phuxuyen.trangvangvietnam.top and 325 businesses and establishments have posted information about nearly 1,000 products (including 114 OCOP products) on the trading platform. In recent years, every year Phu Xuyen has coordinated with the city's departments and branches to organize exhibitions, displays, and festivals about OCOP products and craft villages. In addition, the district introduces many entities with certified OCOP products to participate in fairs organized by departments and branches of the city and neighboring districts.
