To implement the energy-saving project for industrial enterprises until 2030, Vinh Phuc has introduced comprehensive solutions to support businesses in improving energy efficiency. Many local enterprises have successfully applied practical energy-saving measures, yielding high results.

CNCTech saves up to two-thirds of its electricity costs

Vinh Phuc currently has nine industrial parks (IPs) with over 400 active projects. According to Vinh Phuc Power Company, the total monthly electricity consumption in these IPs averages around 200 million kWh, with usage rising by 20-30% during peak hot months.

To promote energy savings, the Vinh Phuc People's Committee has launched a project focused on the economical and efficient use of energy in industrial production through 2030. The committee has tasked the Department of Industry and Trade with enhancing state management on energy efficiency, raising awareness, and facilitating enterprises' access to energy-saving policies. The initiative encourages the use of renewable energy, supports scientific research and promotes the transfer of new energy-saving technologies. Additionally, pilot models for efficient energy use in industrial production will be developed for wider replication.

The Department of Industry and Trade has issued guidelines to help key energy-using enterprises comply with the Law on Energy Efficiency. It has organized seminars and workshops to promote energy-saving policies, technologies and equipment, while also setting up inspection teams to monitor energy use and reduce CO2 emissions. Vinh Phuc Power Company has worked closely with the department to help businesses optimize production schedules, minimize peak-hour consumption and adopt energy-efficient technologies. Industrial enterprises are encouraged to replace outdated machinery with advanced, energy-efficient equipment. By 2025, the goal is for 100% of key energy-consuming businesses in the province to conduct energy audits and implement energy management systems, while 70% of industrial enterprises in parks will adopt energy-efficient solutions.

CNCTech Group, located in Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park, is a leading example of energy management. The company has invested in advanced machinery and equipment, including electricity and water meters, daily data monitoring systems and light switches in every area of the factory. CNCTech has also optimized management processes, improved raw material usage, and reduced energy consumption. With a production capacity of over 3.5 million products annually, CNCTech partners with top global brands like Canon, Panasonic, Denso and Nidec. Since the launch of its Thang Long Industrial Technology Complex, the company has installed rooftop solar power systems across 11,846 m² of factory space. This solar initiative helps CNCTech save up to two-thirds of its electricity costs, while reducing carbon emissions and alleviating the financial burden of energy consumption.

Prime Group in Vinh Phuc is another example of an enterprise successfully implementing energy-saving solutions and modern technologies. The company has invested in energy-efficient equipment, such as energy-saving lamps, frequency converters, and capacitors to reduce voltage loss on production lines. Additionally, it has optimized factory designs by replacing corrugated iron roofing with plastic sheets to maximize natural light. For office operations, Prime Group encourages employees to use energy-efficient electrical equipment, turn off unused devices, and avoid leaving equipment like computers and printers in standby mode. The company also minimizes the use of hallway lights at night and promotes natural ventilation. An internal initiative rewards energy-saving efforts, making electricity conservation a key factor in the company's annual performance evaluations.

In 2023, enterprises in Vinh Phuc saved nearly 90 million kWh, which accounted for over 2% of the province's total electricity consumption. For 2024, the province aims for a 95 million kWh savings target. Energy efficiency in industrial production is crucial, not only for economic benefits but also for reducing energy imports, conserving resources and supporting a sustainable environment.
