The National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), Mastercard, and Payment Intermediary Payoo, alongside supporting organizations, have announced that 200 vulnerable women at high risk of cancer will receive essential financial support, wrapping up Phase 02 of the "Tap to Share, Give Hope" program. Each of the VND 5 million support packages will enable these women to access in-depth screenings, facilitating early detection and timely treatment.

“Tap To Share, Give Hope” is a social welfare initiative jointly organized by NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo, aimed at supporting the health of vulnerable women by providing free preliminary cancer screenings and financial assistance for in-depth screenings. Phase 1, conducted from July to October 2024, provided free screenings for breast, thyroid, cervical, and ovarian cancers to 2,010 women in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The program also launched impactful awareness campaigns, including social media mini games, the "Writing for the Woman I Love" contest, the "Love Bus" event at universities like the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City, the National Economics University, and Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City, and activities during Vietnam Card Day, successfully engaging the public, especially young people.
Phase 2, which started in November 2024, marks a significant milestone in the campaign's journey to promote humanitarian values. By providing financial support to 200 women at high risk of cancer, the program not only eases their financial burdens but also fosters a spirit of sharing and collective action for community health.
Beneficiaries were selected and verified by the Red Cross Society of Hanoi, the Red Cross Society of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones (HEPZA), to ensure fairness, transparency, and that support reaches those in greatest need.

The VND 5 million financial assistance will be directly deposited into beneficiaries’ personal bank accounts. This allows recipients the autonomy to cover the cost of medical examination and advanced screening at reputable oncology healthcare facilities across the country.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung, Deputy General Director of NAPAS, stated: "The program providing 200 financial support packages for cancer screening to vulnerable women and at high risk of the disease represents a meaningful and practical action. It demonstrates NAPAS and our partners' commitment to contributing to social welfare initiatives, bringing positive and humane values to the community and society. We believe that this support will serve as a source of encouragement, empowering women to take a more proactive approach to their health, thereby improving their overall quality of life."
“At Mastercard, we are committed to supporting the communities we work within and making a real impact. We are highly appreciative of NAPAS and Payoo for their collaboration on Phase 2 of “Tap To Share, Give Hope” program, through which several vulnerable women were empowered with access to essential healthcare and support timely cancer screenings and early intervention,” said Winnie Wong, Country Manager, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, Mastercard.
Mr. Ngo Trung Linh, CEO of VietUnion, the company behind the Payoo payment platform, emphasized: “The most important goal of the program is to raise awareness about health care and early cancer screening. We hope the values brought by this program will continue to be amplified, serving as motivation for more meaningful community initiatives in the future.”

In addition to financial and medical support, the program also provides essential emotional encouragement to women facing cancer risks. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thao, 43 years old, a worker at Vinh Loc Industrial Park and one of the support recipients, shared her heartfelt thoughts: "For many of us, regular health check-ups or cancer screenings are a rare luxury because most of our modest income goes toward supporting our families and children. Personally, I used to think that as long as I felt healthy, that was enough — I rarely considered getting regular medical check-ups. This program not only gives us the chance to receive free screenings for four types of cancer, but it also helps us become more aware of the importance of taking care of our own health. The 5 million VND financial support is an incredible source of encouragement and a truly meaningful boost for us. Holding the results from my first screening, and with this financial aid, I plan to return to the hospital for more in-depth tests. If any health issues are detected, I’ll be able to get timely treatment.”
In the coming years, NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo plan to continue collaborating on more practical initiatives, providing greater access to healthcare for vulnerable women.
