SCG continues to affirm its leadership in sustainable development by being named among the Top 10 Sustainable Development Foreign-Invested Enterprises (FIEs) at the Golden Dragon Awards (GDA) 2024–2025, held as part of the Vietnam Connect Forum 2025.

This marks the second consecutive year SCG has secured a spot in the Top 10 and the fourth straight year it has received this prestigious recognition — a testament to the Group’s steadfast commitment to Vietnam’s sustainable, inclusive growth.

The GDA, organized annually by Vietnam Economic Times, recognizes FIEs with strong performance, innovation, and contributions to national development. In its 24th year, the GDA announced and honored the Top 10 and Top 30 outstanding FDI enterprises across six different industry sectors.

“This award is a meaningful recognition of SCG’s unwavering commitment to growing together with Vietnam,” said Mr. Praween Wirotpan, Deputy Country Director – Vietnam, SCG. “As a long-term partner in the country’s development, we are proud to contribute through green innovation, inclusive growth, and sustainable social impact. SCG will continue to drive forward with innovation, responsibility, and deep care for the people and communities of Vietnam.”

SCG’s recognition reflects the impact of its Inclusive Green Growth strategy, underpinned by the ESG 4 Plus framework, which drives the company’s sustainability roadmap across environmental, social, and governance aspects. By integrating green innovation, community engagement, and ethical business practices, SCG has consistently achieved high scores across the GDA’s evaluation pillars, including brand development, CSR, and green transformation.

Driving Sustainability through Innovation and Impact

SCG and its business units’ recognition is driven by its strategic initiatives in green innovation and product excellence. Highlights include:

In Cement-Building Materials, SCG is at the forefront of decarbonization in the construction industry with its Low Carbon Cement, now available in new eco-friendly packaging. Alongside this, other certified green products such as SCG Smartboard and SCG Concrete Roof demonstrate the company’s broader commitment to sustainable building solutions.

PRIME Group, member of SCG, places strong emphasis on developing environmentally responsible products, prioritizing low-VOC materials and sustainable design to minimize environmental impact across the product lifecycle. This is supported by ESG practices at its factories, including renewable energy use, closed-loop wastewater treatment, and waste heat recovery - advancing its circular production and carbon reduction goals.

In the Packaging business of SCG, Duy Tan Plastics’ lightweight bottles, produced with MuCell micro-foaming technology in collaboration with Trexel (USA), optimize resource use while reducing carbon emissions.

Bình Minh Plastics’ industry-leading milestone - becoming the first and only Vietnamese plastic pipe manufacturer to achieve the “Leader” level of the Singapore Green Product Certification (SGBP) for PVC-U and PP-R products.

These innovations reflect SCG’s commitment to sustainable product portfolios and its long-term support for Vietnam’s environmental goals.

Empowering Communities through CSR

Beyond business, SCG actively contributes to Vietnamese society through impactful CSR initiatives:

Over the past 18 years, the flagship program ‘Sharing the Dream’ has grown into a long-term commitment to education, providing not only scholarships but also equipping thousands of underprivileged students with essential life skills and a sustainability mindset. The program plays a key role in nurturing future-ready leaders dedicated to building a greener Vietnam.

SCG and Binh Minh Plastics have also spearheaded clean water projects like "Loving water for the future" bringing sustainable water solutions to remote ethnic minority communities in provinces such as Quang Nam and across Vietnam.

These initiatives reflect SCG’s belief in shared value creation - uplifting communities while advancing sustainable development.

A Long-Term Partner in Vietnam’s Growth

With a presence in Vietnam spanning over 30 years, SCG and its subsidiaries have built a trusted reputation in key industries:

SCG has gone beyond business to actively support the country’s sustainable development journey. Over the years, the group has continuously collaborated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (previously is Natural Resources and Environment) (MONRE) to co-host influential platforms such as the Circular Economy (CE) Forum - empowering dialogue, policy, and innovation toward a greener future.

In parallel, SCG has collaborated with Tuổi Trẻ Newspaper to share its perspectives, green initiatives, and experiences in using recycled materials through community-focused events such as Vietnam Green Day, encouraging greater public awareness and action toward environmental protection.

That unwavering commitment to sustainability has earned SCG and member companies a spot among the Top 100 Sustainable Companies (CSI 100) by VCCI, recognizing its integrated ESG strategies. At the same time, Duy Tan Plastics and Bình Minh Plastics continue to reinforce SCG’s reputation for quality and reliability, being honored as 'Vietnamese High-Quality Products' for the 29th consecutive year in 2025—an exceptional achievement that reflects lasting consumer trust and product excellence.

Looking ahead, SCG remains committed to partnering with Vietnam in its new era of growth, supporting national efforts in sustainability, innovation, and inclusive development.
