What inspired your return to Vietnam and the decision to establish a DataHouse branch here?
Returning to Vietnam was not only a career milestone but also a deeply personal journey. Growing up far from home, I always dreamed of one day returning to contribute to the country’s development. After many years working in the tech industry in the U.S., I saw a valuable opportunity: to bridge global knowledge with local talent.
In 2018, I returned to Da Nang, my hometown, and clearly saw the strong potential of the young engineering workforce here. That became the inspiration for me to establish DataHouse Asia, bringing international projects to Vietnam and creating opportunities for talented individuals to grow, innovate, and leave their mark on the global tech map.
Of course, the journey came with its share of challenges - from technical infrastructure and talent retention to cultural alignment with international clients. But these very challenges highlighted the resilience and drive of Vietnamese people - their eagerness to learn, flexibility, and strong aspirations. This became the perfect foundation for us to build a strong tech organization.
I am especially proud that in 2023, DataHouse continued to affirm its credibility and earned recognition as an “Outstanding Enterprise Contributing to Da Nang’s Information and Communications Sector.”
The company not only maintains steady annual growth in revenue and profit while fulfilling its tax obligations, but also creates high-quality jobs, contributing to improving the quality of life for local and regional workers.

What technological potentials does Vietnam offer that made DataHouse choose to invest long-term here?
DataHouse is a leading IT company headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, with development centers in Vietnam serving as the technical backbone. We create a harmonious blend of international quality and local strengths. Our operational advantage lies in combining both markets - providing American clients with the peace of mind that comes from working with a trusted local partner, while leveraging the efficiency and agility of our Vietnamese engineering team.
We’ve also established a continuous work cycle through time zone coordination: when the U.S. finishes its workday, our Vietnam team picks up immediately. This allows DataHouse to accelerate project timelines effectively without compromising quality.
Vietnam today is no longer just a destination for outsourcing - it’s emerging as an innovation hub. With a young, tech-savvy population, an increasingly vibrant startup ecosystem, and strong digital transformation support from the government, we believe Vietnam is a strategic destination for long-term tech investment.
From your perspective, what are the opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese enterprises entering the U.S. market - and vice versa?
For Vietnamese companies, the U.S. market offers immense opportunities for scaling, accessing advanced technologies, and innovation. However, it also comes with strict compliance, professionalism, and quality process requirements. Building trust through consistency, transparency, and a long-term mindset is essential.
Conversely, Vietnam is a highly attractive growth market with abundant human resources, competitive costs, and an increasingly transparent investment environment. However, to succeed here, U.S. companies need to understand the local culture, employee expectations, and legal system -which is not easy without a reliable local partner.
This is precisely why DataHouse strives to be a “trusted partner” in both countries. To this day, we are proud to serve as a bridge transforming diplomatic milestones between Vietnam and the U.S. into sustainable, long-term collaborations. We don’t just build software - we build trust, create jobs, and spread knowledge between the two countries.
Technology knows no boundaries. When Vietnamese engineers participate in U.S. government and enterprise projects, it serves as proof of strong and sustainable cooperation. I’m proud that DataHouse is the connector between the two places I call home.
Can you share some highlight projects that showcase DataHouse’s role as a “technology bridge” between Vietnam and the U.S.?
One of our standout projects is the collaboration with U.S. government agencies and healthcare systems to build large-scale enterprise platforms. While the software architecture is designed in the U.S., it is implemented by our engineering team in Vietnam - showcasing a truly efficient and synchronized cross-border collaboration model.
In addition, we’ve partnered with many startups and companies in California and Hawaii, supporting them in product expansion -even for projects with stringent standards like HIPAA, ISO, or high-security environments such as AWS GovCloud.
These projects are not just technological products - they are testaments to mutual trust, close collaboration, and co-creation capabilities between the Vietnamese and American economies.
What strategies does DataHouse have to contribute to Vietnam’s national digital transformation and sustainable development?
We believe in building capabilities, not dependencies. Our goal is not only to bring work to Vietnam but also to empower local engineers to innovate, lead, and create their own unique imprints.
We are heavily investing in training, mentoring, and developing products aligned with national digital transformation priorities - particularly in sectors such as healthcare, government, and education.
As a woman in tech, I also want to inspire the next generation to believe that where you start does not determine where you finish. I hope young engineers - especially women - see that tech is a field not only where they belong but where they can lead.
Looking ahead, to accompany Vietnam's digital transformation and expand globally, DataHouse will continue to enhance our capabilities in AI, cloud platforms, and enterprise digitalization - suitable for both the public and private sectors. At the same time, we’re developing intellectual property products “Made in Vietnam” for the local and regional markets, while strengthening our high-quality talent base at core development centers across Vietnam.
Of course, in creating these positive values, we hope Vietnam will become the origin of innovation - not just a destination. That future will be written through every project and every young talent we are nurturing.
Thank you very much!
