Continuing its journey to build a brighter future for Vietnamese youth, SCG, in collaboration with the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, officially launches the SCG Sharing the Dream Scholarship 2025.
This 19th program will award 150 scholarships with a total value of 1.6 billion VND to students having difficult circumstances but always trying and striving to excel in studying across the country. More than just financial support, this initiative reflects SCG’s steadfast commitment to reducing inequality, expanding educational opportunities, and accompanying young people in their pursuit of dreams while contributing to a sustainable future.

Beyond financial support, the SCG Sharing the Dream scholarship also includes a variety of integrated activities designed to equip students with essential knowledge and skills
Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra, Country Director of SCG in Vietnam shared: “The SCG Sharing the Dream scholarship was established with the mission of reducing inequality through education and creating opportunities for underprivileged students so that no one is left behind. Over the past 18 years, the program has awarded more than 6,000 scholarships, becoming a solid source of support that enables thousands of students to focus on their studies and nurture their aspirations. Beyond financial assistance, the scholarship also equips students with knowledge and an ESG mindset, empowering them to become leaders of Vietnam’s green generation. This commitment is fully aligned with SCG’s Inclusive Green Growth strategy, which we have consistently pursued for many years”.
Beyond financial support, the program emphasizes equipping students with essential skills for holistic development. For university students, the scholarship provides opportunities for specialized training in sustainable development and community project design. In the first and second quarters of 2026, they will work directly with SCG experts to develop and refine their ESG ideas. Notably, the most promising projects will receive funding from SCG for real-life implementation in the third quarter of the same year. Meanwhile, pupils will also benefit from practical support in tutoring, mentoring, and other activities designed to enhance academic performance, improve foreign language skills, and foster creative thinking. These initiatives aim to cultivate well-rounded individuals prepared to succeed in the future.

SCG Sharing the Dream 2025 returns, offering learning opportunities to hundreds of students across the country
Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers shared: “With the responsibility of the Youth Union and Young Pioneers in accompanying and caring for Vietnamese youth, we always appreciate the persistent efforts and cooperation of units and enterprises such as SCG. From the reality in many localities, we clearly see the difficulties that students are facing, from economic conditions to opportunities to access knowledge. Therefore, the SCG Sharing the Dream scholarship not only brings material value, helping students confidently go to school, but also is a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping them overcome difficulties in life, and continue to firmly step on the path of learning and growing up. Over the past 18 years, the program has truly become a close companion, contributing to lighting up thousands of green dreams of students across the country. We believe that from the seeds planted today, they will grow up successful, have strong will and belief, ready to make positive contributions to the community and country in the future".
Huynh Ngoc Hieu, a student at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and RMIT University, is another inspiring face of the SCG Sharing the Dream Scholarship. Hieu lived an ordinary childhood until a life-changing event left him without sight. His mother’s tireless devotion and his father’s perseverance became the driving force that helped him overcome hardship and his own limitations to pursue his passion for technology. With the scholarship’s support, Hieu has not only gained opportunities to connect and learn from fellow scholars and mentors, but also nurtures the aspiration to apply his technological knowledge to contribute to the community, particularly by supporting people with disabilities in their development and social integration.

Nguyen Duy Khang, a student majoring in Mechatronic Engineering at Can Tho University and one of the outstanding faces of the SCG Sharing the Dream 2023 Scholarship program, is a clear testament to the spirit of overcoming difficulties of the young generation. Although his family faces challenges with his father’s health, unstable housing, and an unsteady income, Khang always believes that education is the shortest path for him to realize his dream of becoming a mechatronic engineer. With the support of the scholarship, Khang has successfully won the ESG Ambassador ASEAN 2024 competition. Khang said: “The support from SCG does not stop at simple educational lessons, but is also a great source of inspiration. It is the comprehensive training sessions that have equipped us with solid knowledge about ESG and social responsibility, while the factory tours allow us to see first-hand how businesses apply the principles of sustainable and inclusive development into practice.”
To further encourage Vietnamese youth on their journey of overcoming challenges and pursuing knowledge, the SCG Sharing the Dream Scholarship 2025 is now open for online applications at scg.sac.vn. Applications can be submitted until 5:00 PM on September 30, 2025.
