Building Strong Market Position
Vietcombank Tan Bac Ninh was established on March 2, 2023, initially under the name Vietcombank Tay Bac Giang. Operating in a highly competitive market, the branch has drawn on the strength of Vietcombank's brand and banking network while proactively developing its workforce, strengthening its organizational capacity and improving service quality to gradually build its market position.
When it began operations, the branch had just 33 employees and no deposits, outstanding loans or customers. Through sustained efforts and the energy, dynamism and dedication of its young workforce, by the end of 2025, it had mobilized VND5,928 billion (US$228 million) in deposits and recorded VND5,917 billion (US$227.58 million) in outstanding loans, laying a foundation for further growth.
In just over three years, Vietcombank Tan Bac Ninh has built up more than VND15,000 billion (US$576.92 million) in interest-earning assets. As of October 31, 2026, the branch had more than 90 employees, five functional departments at its head office and three transaction offices in Nen Ward, Hiep Hoa Ward and Tan Yen Commune (Bac Ninh City). Deposits exceeded VND7,100 billion (US$273.08 million), while outstanding loans reached nearly VND8,000 billion (US$307.69 million), up 20% and 35%, respectively, from the end of 2025. The branch served more than 250,000 customers, including nearly 5,000 corporate and household business customers, and expected to earn approximately VND250 billion (US$9.62 million) in profit in 2026.
Growth has been accompanied by close credit quality management, with non-performing loans and Group 2 debts consistently kept at low levels. In 2025 and the first three quarters of 2026, the branch ranked among the top performers in meeting business targets and received commendations from Vietcombank's leadership for its performance.
A key factor behind these results is the proximity of the branch's headquarters and transaction offices to industrial parks, where manufacturing companies and foreign direct investment (FDI) investors are concentrated.
To capitalize on these advantages, the branch has proactively studied the market, approached customers and followed their needs and investment plans. While aligning with Vietcombank's overall strategy, it has adapted its approach to local conditions and expanded its business relationships. Its initiative, willingness to take on challenges and commitment to customer service have helped strengthen its market position.
Reliable Source of Capital for Businesses and Investors
In line with Bac Ninh's development priorities, Vietcombank Tan Bac Ninh focuses its lending on production and business activities, particularly in processing and manufacturing, electronics, high technology, supporting industries and companies operating in industrial parks. Trade, services, logistics and activities supporting production also receive attention. Within its retail credit portfolio, loans for production and business purposes consistently account for nearly 85% of the branch's total retail outstanding loans.
The branch builds customer relationships across supply chains and business ecosystems. For FDI enterprises, it engages with investors from the project planning stage to identify needs for investment accounts, payments, foreign exchange, investment financing and working capital. It also extends its connections from major supply chain companies to suppliers, supporting industry companies and domestic satellite businesses.
When assessing financing requests, the branch examines contracts, orders, payment histories, cash flows and financial capacity, ensuring that funding solutions are linked to feasible and efficient business plans and borrowers' repayment capacity. For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing comprehensive guidance from the outset helps reduce repeated document submissions, while loan terms and repayment methods are tailored to their business cycles.
The branch implements Vietcombank's credit programs and preferential interest rate policies in accordance with the bank's policies for each period. It also strengthens coordination with local authorities, industrial park management boards and business associations to identify financing needs and work together to address difficulties at an early stage.
Alongside lending, the branch uses digital services to support business operations. VCB DigiBiz serves SMEs, while VCB CashUp helps companies manage cash flows, making transactions more convenient and giving customers greater control over their finances.
For payments, VCB OneQR combines domestic and international QR payments into a single code, subject to service connectivity. In an area with a high concentration of FDI enterprises, foreign experts and workers, this solution provides more payment options at commercial and service establishments and retail outlets around industrial parks. The branch also deploys VCB Tablet at companies, hospitals and schools to facilitate account opening, digital banking registration, card issuance and information updates.
In response to growing demand for green transformation, the branch aims to support projects involving technological innovation, energy savings, more efficient resource use and reduced environmental impacts. Financing decisions are based on program criteria, project efficiency and environmental and social risk management requirements.
Building Trust Through Culture and Responsible Partnership
According to Le Xuan Truong, Director of Vietcombank Tan Bac Ninh, customer trust comes from every transaction and daily interaction. The branch focuses on understanding customer needs, providing clear advice, handling requests responsibly and using feedback to improve service quality.
Vietcombank's five cultural values – "Trust, Standards, Innovation, Sustainability and Humanity" – guide employee conduct. "Trust" means honoring commitments and providing accurate information; "Standards" means maintaining professional competence and complying with regulations; "Innovation" means embracing change and applying technology; "Sustainability" means building long-term partnerships and linking growth with risk management; and "Humanity" means respecting, listening to and supporting customers with a strong sense of responsibility.
To put these values into practice, the branch trains employees in professional skills, customer advisory, technology and risk identification. Performance assessments consider business results, service quality and compliance, helping strengthen professionalism and customer confidence. The branch also reinforces its commitment to partnership through social welfare activities.
In 2025, the branch contributed VND645 million (US$24,808) to social welfare initiatives, including VND275 million (US$10,577) for Lunar New Year support and VND250 million (US$9,615) for recovery efforts following storms and floods. In 2026, the branch plans to allocate VND10.4 billion (US$400,000) to social welfare activities, primarily providing VND10 billion (US$384,615) for the construction of Sa Ly No. 2 Kindergarten, as well as housing assistance and Lunar New Year gifts for families with meritorious service to the country. These initiatives connect the bank's growth with the well-being of the wider community.
Discussing the branch's future direction, Le Xuan Truong said that Bac Ninh has a strong industrial base and attracts many companies and investors, creating growing demand for capital and competitive financial services. In response, Vietcombank Tan Bac Ninh makes helping companies access financing at reasonable costs one of its operational priorities, in line with Vietcombank's overall strategy.
On October 19, 2026, Vietcombank launched a credit program to support production and business activities and promote priority sectors, running through December 31, 2026. The program offers annual interest rate reductions of 1.5–2 percentage points, with reductions of up to 3 percentage points on certain short-term loans, subject to program conditions. Effective October 20, 2026, the bank also lowered its listed deposit interest rates by 0.5 percentage points per year for terms of six months or longer, creating more room to reduce borrowing costs for customers.
The branch will proactively identify customer needs and help eligible companies access these preferential interest rates, focusing on manufacturers, SMEs, supporting industry companies and businesses across supply chains. Financing support will be accompanied by risk controls to maintain credit quality and operational safety.
The branch will continue to streamline procedures and apply technology to reduce transaction time and costs. It will integrate lending with international payments, foreign exchange, cash management and digital banking to serve FDI and import-export companies. Cooperation with local authorities, industrial park management boards and the business community will also be strengthened to identify needs early and address operational difficulties.
"We want Vietcombank's spirit of sharing and partnership to bring tangible benefits to companies, from lower financing costs and better cash flow management to expanded production and business operations. Vietcombank Tan Bac Ninh will continue to improve service quality, draw on the strengths of the banking system and strengthen its role as a trusted financial partner, helping improve business competitiveness and support Bac Ninh's sustainable development," Le Xuan Truong said.
