Forum Opens Dialogue for Vietnam, European Businesses
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) jointly held the first meeting of the Vietnam-European Union Business Forum (VEBF) on May 22 in Hanoi to announce VEBF’s action plan for the year 2006.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan said Vietnam always considers the EU an important trade and investment strategic partner and donor.
The meeting announced that this year VEBF would focus on three main activities, including information exchange through workshops, research into business administration in Vietnamese firms, and labor related issues.
The forum was set up to provide a channel for dialogue between businesses and governmental agencies. It is also an organization linking businesses and promoting trade and investment.
The first dialogue was also organized after the debut of the forum.
