Last week, like other Asian securities markets, the Vietnam securities market recorded a decrease. By the end of the week the VN-Index was down to 523.70, 22.28 points less than the beginning of the week. The total transaction volume was 4,874,890 shares (3.08 per cent less than the previous week).

The total transaction value was VND250,882,984 (11.57 per cent less than previous week). The decline will continue during the Football World Cup as the public and investors are strongly attracted by the sport event.

Meanwhile, more companies are preparing for the listings such as Sacombank, Binh Minh Plastics, Sudico, Comeco, Vien Lien, etc. Local and foreign investors are expecting more diversified commodities and more choices. They will also watch more carefully when new commodities come onto the market.
