Microsoft Introduces Partners in Learning System

Microsoft Vietnam has introduced the Partners in Learning (PiL) online programme with e-learning solutions and innovative teacher network portal integrated at the website http://www.mspil.net.vn. This site enables the construction and development of a web-based common forum for PiL community to share experience and study.
 
On this occasion, the Innovative Teacher Award 2006, a competition on ICT-enabled teaching initiatives for teachers of fundamental education, was introduced. ITA is an initiative to establish Innovative Teachers Network to help teaching community to apply IT to teaching and learning.
 
According to Microsoft, the programme will provide IT knowledge for some 50,000 teachers of fundamental levels and last-year students of teachers’ training schools from 2005 to 2010. About two million students will benefit from this programme. To date, the programme has trained 7,000 teachers and thus some 280,000 students are beneficiaries.
