Manulife Vietnam Wins Big Fame for Education Improvement
Recently, Manulife Vietnam has been awarded by the Vietnam Association for Education Development and the Vietnam Association of Psychological - Educational Science for its education development for the younger generation in Vietnam. Manulife has become very well known for its ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life for the communities. Over the past seven years, Manulife has contributed more than six billion dong to various education and charitable activities, especially for children.
Since 1999, Manulife Vietnam has conducted an annual charitable program named "Let's help children go to school," donating VND 900 million of school gifts to more than 20,000 needy children nationwide. Additionally, Manulife Vietnam donated VND 300 million to the Vietnam Association for Educational Development to build a computer classroom for poor and disabled children in Hanoi.
Manulife Vietnam also developed Phuc An Thanh Tai, a unique first-to-market education product designed to meet the “top priority” needs of parents: financial assistance for their children’s education.
In order to encourage and develop children’s creative talents, Manulife Vietnam in September 2005 initiated the Smart Kid Club, launching a nationwide drawing contest for children aged 3-10 . The three-month contest successfully attracted more than 5,000 entries from children who enthusiastically expressed their thoughts about their future careers.
