Hapro Food Industrial Complex, run by Hanoi Trade Corp., is designed to house food-processing factories removing from Hanoi’s urban areas as well as accommodate other food processing projects and clean industry projects. Located in Le Chi Commune, Gia Lam District, about 20 km away from Hanoi’s downtown, Hapro Food Industrial Complex has a harmonious infrastructure and a favourable transport system linking to seaports and inland clearance depots.
Harmony in size and infrastructure
Under the project plan ratified by the Hanoi People’s Committee, Hapro Food Industrial Complex is divided into three main sections covering 64 ha. The Section 2 and 3 for supportive industries are being developed.
Section 1: The 31.2-ha part is built under the Decision No. 2748/QD-UB dated May 19, 2003 by the Municipal People’s Committee. The total investment capital is nearly VND56 billion.
Completed in mid-2005, many enterprises have rented and operated successfully in the section. The land rental occupancy rate reaches 50 per cent. The complex is calling investment projects into this section and expects to fill in by 2007.
Section 2: The 17.4-ha part is dedicated to the construction of supporting industries for the complex. This section specialises in preparing techniques and breeding animals, managing raw materials for the complex, building research and practice centres and producing diversified products. This site will also train food-processing technicians and provide management and consulting services regarding packaging and commercial, sport, entertainment and travel service development.
Section 3: The 15.4-ha site is designed to build houses for 2,500-3000 employees in the complex as well as workers in other industrial in north-western Gia Lam District.
A pumping station will ensure the water supply with a daily capacity of 400 cubic metres at present and 2,000 cubic metres in a later time.
In addition, five electrical transformers have been installed in the complex and are ready to supply sufficient power for the complex. Hapro complex is also supported by international standard communication system.

Hanoi Trading Corp. (Hapro), pledges to create the most favourable conditions for enterprises to invest in the complex. All enterprises’ requests related to taxes, customs procedures, quotas, certificates of origin and others will be timely settled by the complex.
