NTT Com, VDC Provide Virtual Private Network Service in Vietnam
Japan’s NTT Communications Corp. (NTT Com) and Vietnam's largest international telecom carrier, Vietnam Datacommunication Co. (VDC) have recently announced a joint agreement to provide multi protocol label switching-based global internet protocol – virtual private network (MPLS-based IP-VPN) services in Vietnam under the name of VPN/VNN-Arcstar. The services are expected to be launched in September.
Multinational companies in Vietnam will then be able to benefit from easy accesses to the reliable MPLS-based IP-VPN services, which offer highly competitive levels of security, speed and quality guaranteed by NTT Com and VDC.
NTT Com and VDC began cooperating in providing international Frame Relay services in Vietnam in 2000.
Multi protocol label switching-based global IP (MPLS) technology sets protocols and other standards for high-speed label switching in large networks and enables construction of IP-VPN that use labels, not IP addresses, to determine destinations.
