VNPT Partners with ASEAN's Major Telcos

The state-run Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and the ASEAN Telecom Holding Company (AHT/ACASIA), a group of telcos in the ASEAN bloc, began to jointly provide ACASIA telecom services in Vietnam from September 19.

 

VNPT will coordinate with its ACASIA partners to supply products, data transmission services, value added services and supporting services. VNPT will build a service node in Vietnam, which will meet the technical standards of ACASIA. This node will link with nodes of other members in order to offer clients services in a convenient and simple way.

 

VNPT’s deputy general director Lam Hoang Vinh said that by joining the AHT/ACASIA, VNPT will have more opportunities to expand multilateral cooperation, expand its market and receive advanced techniques to provide higher quality services.

 

It also opens up opportunities for Vietnamese customers to use high-quality global data transmission services, he added.

 

ATH/ACASIA group, one of the ASEAN's leading primary network service providers, is made up of the six leading telecom providers in the region, namely CAT, Indosat, JTB, PLDT, Singtel and Telekom Malaysia.
