Sixteenth Anniversary Celebration of German Unification

On October 3, 2006 at the Hotel Windsor Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City, German Consulate General celebrated the Independence Day, which was also the 16^th anniversary of the unification of the German Democratic Republic and Federal Republic of Germany.

The Consul General says that he is glad Germany is trying to strengthen the relationship between German and Vietnamese enterprises and to promote the investment between the two countries. Additionally, German Embassy and Consul General are making efforts to tighten the bilateral political relations. Germany has become Vietnam’s biggest trading partner in the EU and constantly increased its direct investment into Vietnam.

On this occasion, the Consulate General also held an exhibition of children’s paintings in Huong Duong orphanage in Nha Trang. All the money raised from this exhibition was donated to the orphanage.
