Japanese Businesses Seek Investment Opportunities in Vietnam

A delegation of businesses led by Shinichi Saito, special consultant and former vice president of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), came to Vietnam in search of investment opportunities from December 6-9, 2006.

 

Attendants included active medium and small businesses specialising in mechanical production, automatic, chemicals, electrical appliances, banking, forwarding, consulting and construction. Notably, the delegation included the presence of Tokyo Television.

 

During their visit to Vietnam, the business group worked with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the governments of Lang Son Province and Da Nang City to survey the business opportunities in the country. The grouping also dropped in on several industrial zones in northern and central Vietnam to acquire experience of Japanese companies that have invested in Vietnam.
