The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) cooperated with the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam to introduce the 101st Guangzhou import and export goods trade fair in Hanoi on February 28.

This is one of the oldest trade fair in China and one of the most prestigious and professional trade fairs. According to the Organising Board, the trade fair is a place for showcasing and introducing products and exchanging business opportunities. Especially, the fair is a place for Vietnamese firms to find information about importers and exporters of China and attending countries.

This year’s trade fair will be split into two periods. The first period will take place from April 15-20, 2007 at the Liuhua Centre (mainly for garments, textiles and pharmaceuticals), at Bazhou Centre (mainly for industrial products) and at the newly-established Import-Export Goods Zone (mainly for the introduction of industrial and civil goods).

The second phase will also be organised at these places from April 25-30 with major exhibits being souvenirs and consumer goods.
