Mekong Delta FDI Disbursement Hits US$1.2Bln in Q1
FDI project disbursement in the Mekong Delta has reached US$1.2 billion, accounting for 63 per cent of registered capital in the first quarter this year.
The disbursed capital was high despite the slow pace of foreign direct investment, with only two of 13 provinces reporting new FDI projects.
The Mekong Delta houses 238 valid FDI projects, with total registered investment of US$1.876 billion.
From Jan to Mar 22, 2007, Vietnam attracted 195 new FDI projects, with registered US$2.07 billion.
FDI projects in the industrial field ranked first, followed by service projects. (Investment)
