Opening New Canon Imaging Solution Center

The five-year-old Canon Singapore Vietnam Representative Office, has just opened its all new Canon Imaging Solution Center at 439 Hai Ba Trung (Dist.3) this morning.
 
The flagship center, which signifies which Canon’s commitment to Vietnam, will serve as a direct point of contact to showcase Canon’s latest technology and communicate product knowledge to consumers.
“Just five years ago, there was basically no Canon here. Just a few dealers and traders and nothing else. Everything about Canon has grown in Vietnam,“ said Mr. Kazuto Ogawa, President and CEO of Canon Singapore at the opening of the new Solutions Center.
 
Canon Singapore’s Vietnam network now includes five distributors and more than 300 dealers, as well as service centers in every province in Vietnam.
 
“In 2007 we are aiming at making Canon in Vietnam a US$50 million business, with a strong support from our Partner’s network, in every province of Vietnam. Canon’s business partners have more than tripled in the past three years. Our factory has seen its revenue grow by 70 per cent in the past year” said an excited Mr. Ogawa. “Everywhere we look in Vietnam, we see growth.
 
“The new Canon Imaging Solution Center is the centerpiece of the next phase of Canon in Vietnam, a phase in which Canon will further accelerate its investment, marketing and social contributions to Vietnam,” added Mr. Mike Asao, Chief Representative of Canon Singapore’s Vietnam Representative Office.
 
As a marketer of photographic equipment, business machines, printers and various other products in Vietnam since 2002, Canon with more than 8,000 Vietnamese employees keeps expanding its distribution channels, partner’s network over Vietnam as well as provides direct marketing, service and training support targeting at users of its office automation and photographic equipment & accessories.
 
In line with the company’s global philosophy of kyosei – a philosophy that sees the company dedicate itself to the common good in all countries in which it operates, Canon also took the opportunity to launch a new community activity.
 
“Canon is celebrating it’s fifth birthday in 2007,” said Mr. Asao. “And so, we wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate turning five with a big group of kids who share our birthday.”
 
As such, Canon presented backpacks and color painting books to over 700 five year old kids from five different schools in Ho Chi Minh City, valued at over VND 80 million.
