For international travellers, holding an insurance policy prior to a trip is imperative. Vietnamese travellers, on the contrary, seem unfamiliar with buying insurance policies before outbound trips.
Although the travel premium is equal to only 1 per cent of total expenditure on the trip, many Vietnamese forget to do this. According to travel firms, more than one million Vietnamese people travel abroad. However, only some 20,000 bought insurance policies.
