Lilama Invests US$125Mln in Power, Cement Projects

Vietnam Construction & Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama) reported to pump VND2 trillion (US$125 million) into power projects and cement factories.
 
Up to date, Lilama has completed ground and site clearance of the 1,200 MW- Vung Ang thermal power project, which is estimated to cost a total of US$1.2 billion, said a Lilama senior official.
 
The corporation also facilitates preparatory tasks for the 2.3-million-ton Thang Long clinker factory and the 8.1 MW Song Ong hydropower plant to kick off construction within this year.
 
Under an agreement reached by Vietnamese and Indian partners, Lilama will manufacture and export 31,000 tons of boiler equipment worth USUS$45 million for BARH thermo-power project in India. Of the total, around 30 per cent will be made at Lisemco, a one-member unit of Lilama. (Vietnam Economic Times)
