Thanh Long Shipyard Injects US$115Mln in Major Shipbuilding Projects

Thanh Long Shipbuilding Industry Co. is investing VND1.85 trillion (US$115 million) in four major shipbuilding projects in northern Haiphong City, said Dau Tu Newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
 
The Haiphong city-based Thanh Long injected VND178 billion to upgrade a shipyard in Haiphong, VND157 billion to upgrade an aluminum alloy plant, VND507 billion to build Diem Dien shipyard to build ships of 6,500 tons and VND1 trillion to build Lam Dong shipyard to build ships of 50,000 tons.
 
Thanh Long has reportedly obtained a license to become a one-member limited liability company, which consists of seven member companies.
 
Than Long is a member of Vinashin Business Group, the largest shipbuilder in Vietnam. (Investment)
