Asus Seeking to Build IT Factory in Vietnam

Taiwan’s largest PC maker of Asus is negotiating with the government of Vietnam to build a laptop-manufacturing factory in Vietnam, Leroy Liu, Chief Representative of Asus Vietnam said.
 
“Asus Vietnam will focus on recruiting new university graduates to train for its R&D staffers,” Liu said.
 
Declining to disclose the total investment, the Asus official noted that this is the huge-ever amount the group will invest in Vietnam, concentrating on graphic card, discs the main products in Asean.
 
Recently, the group established a warranty of Asus that is to be connected with its global guarantee agencies in 31 countries and territories and debuted new light laptop products for businesspeople weighing 0.8kg.
 
Asus gained US$14 billion in revenue last year, and expects US$23 billion this year. (VietnamNet, Labor)
