Int'l Workshop on "Law on State Liability" to Be Organised
The Maison du Droit vietnamo-française organizes an international workshop on “Law on State Liability”, under the high patronage of the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and the Embassy of France in Vietnam with the support of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie on 10th and 11th September 2007, at the Hanoi Mélia Hotel.
This event aims at providing inputs to help Vietnam achieve the current reform process of state liability law and to support future codification of such law.
During two days, senior experts from France, Switzerland, Vietnam and Asian countries such as Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao and Thailand will work on adequate patterns selection issues, regarding each country’s specificities. Extensive analysis of the conditions of application of state liability law will be discussed.
Nearly 200 auditors are expected to attend the conference, among whom several representatives of central and local Vietnamese administration, members of professional organizations, multilateral organisms, associations, embassies and official delegations of some regional countries.
The workshop will be followed by a 2-day seminar more specifically dedicated to the expertise of the draft of the Vietnamese Law on State Liability. This expertise will be held on April 12th and 13th, 2007 in the conference room of the Maison du Droit vietnamo-française (87 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Hanoï, Vietnam).
