The Vietnam-EU Business Forum (VEUBF) has picked Nguyen Hoa Binh, chairman of the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), as its new co-chairmanship, the annual VEUBF meeting heard February 27 in
Binh will replace Vu Viet Ngoan who has taken up a new post at the National Assembly.
The meeting was open to review last year's VEUBF operations and put forward plans for this year, including the debut of an information e-gateway to facilitate commercial exchange among EU and Vietnamese businesses.
The VEUBF was established by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the European Chamber of Commerce in (EuroCham) in May 2006.
It is an avenue for Vietnamese and EU companies to get updated information about their respective markets, build business links, and share business management experiences.
The forum is also aimed to advance direct dialogues between the two sides, put forward solutions to the Government and relevant ministries to attract more investment capital from the EU.
