The Saigon Telecommunications Company (Saigon Tel) on March 13 started construction of an US$87.5-million Industrial Park (IP) in northern Bac Ninh province, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The Dai Dong-Hoan Son IP, which will be upgraded from the Kinh Bac Information Technology Park, will cover 300 hectares in Tien Du and Tu Son districts.
It will accommodate environmentally friendly projects in mechanical engineering, agro-forestry product processing, construction materials and garment and consumer goods.
To date, the IP has licensed 37 domestic and foreign investment projects with four currently operational, making up 55 per cent of the park’s total area.
Currently, Bac Ninh has four operational IPs, namely Tien Son, Que Vo, Dai Dong-Hoan Son, and Yen Phong.
The province has to date attracted 110 foreign-invested projects valued at US$1.04 billion, standing in the country’s top ten cities and provinces in luring foreign investors. (VNA)
