Vietnam, Germany to Boost Economic, Trade Ties
A German businesses delegation led by Secretary of the Ministry of Economics and Labor of Germany’s Saxony Anhalt State, Detlef Schubert, paid a working visit to Vietnam to study the market and boost the trade, economic ties.
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan received the delegation April 9 in Hanoi, affirming the trip would create more opportunities for both sides’ businesses to expand the cooperation.
The two sides shared experiences in creating new products, developing the economy and solving unemployment.
The German guests took the occasion to inform his host of a joint venture agreement worth US$8 million with Vietnamese partners on processed food quality examination in service of export to the EU market.
Nhan expressed his belief that the well-done quality examination will help increase Vietnam’s outputs of processed agricultural products for export. (The People, VNA)
