Technip Installs 205 Monitor Cameras at Vietnam's First Oil Refinery
General contractor Technip of Vietnam’s first oil refinery Dung Quat has basically completed installation of 205 monitor cameras at the plant, said Dinh Van Ngoc, deputy general director of Binh Son Oil Refining and Petrochemical Co. Ltd.
The cameras, supplied by the HoneyWell, a U.S automatic control solution provider, are expected to ensure safety and security for the refinery when it is put into operation early next year.
The refinery is designed to refine 6.5 million tons of crude oil into liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), propylene, 90RON and 92RON gasoline, kerosene, Jet A1, diesel oil (DO), and fuel oil (FO) which are expected to meet 33 per cent of local demands once fully operational in 2010.
So far, the underway US$2.5 billion oil refinery has almost 98 per cent of its construction workload completed with an expected for trial run in February 2009. (Vietnam & World Economy)
