Deputy Permanent Foreign Minister of the U.K. Peter Ricketts will lead a delegation to attend the first political reference meeting between the two foreign ministries in Hanoi on January 13, the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Le Dung announced at a press briefing yesterday.

The meeting is in accordance with the content of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in March 2008 during Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit to the U.K. and North Ireland.

The first meeting will focus discussions on bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ministries as well as some issues in common concern. (CPV)
