Bilateral trade between France and Vietnam is estimated to hit EUR1.591 billion this year, up 3 per cent on year, Vietnamese Trade Counselor in France Pham Xuan Yen has told the Voice of Vietnam Station.

Of the figures, Vietnam exports to France reach EUR1.236 billion and main exports to France are footwear, apparel, domestic appliances, seafood, leather and tourism products, which account for 71 per cent in term of value.

Vietnam imports EUR355 million of pharmaceuticals, electric and electronic, mechanic, chemical and wheat products, up 20 per cent on year, Xuan said.

That France takes presidency of EU will be chances for Vietnam to boost trade with the European country and the bloc, Xuan added. (VoV)
