Ambassador: Vietnam PM to Visit UAE to Boost Trade, Investment in Early 2009

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will pay a visit to United Arab Emirates early next year to boost trade and investment, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to UAE, Nguyen Quang Khai has told the Dau Tu newspaper.
 
Authorities of Communist Vietnam are arranging for the visit, which will open many business opportunities for Vietnamese companies as UAE is small in size but great in demand, Khai noted.
 
The Middle East nation imports US$375 billion of goods from affordable to hi-end items each year, and this is a gold chance and a really potential for Vietnamese exporters.
 
Vietnam’s exports will be easily penetrating into the market as 5 per cent customs tariff is imposed, the ambassador said.
 
Early this year, Vietnam opened an embassy there, he said.
 
Great inflows of foreign direct investment from UAE will possibly four into Vietnam via realty projects, he forecast.
 
UAE is also in high demand for labor forces. By 2015, the Middle East country will need 300,000 foreign workers, he added. (Investment)
