Vietnam's Jan Crude Oil Exports -52.4 per cent in Value, +12.4 per cent in Volume

Vietnam is estimated to obtain US$424 million from exporting 1.38 million metric tons of crude oil in January, down 52.4 per cent on year in value but up 12.4 per cent on year in volume, said the General Statistic Office (GSO).
 
In the month, the Southeast Asian country is estimated to have produced 15.43 million tons crude oil, up 10.2 per cent on month and 20.6 per cent on year.
 
Crude oil is now Vietnam’s largest forex earner, representing 17.78 per cent of the country’s export revenues in January, said the office.
 
The country is forecast to spend US$244 million on importing 750,000 metric tons of petroleum products in the month, down 75.2 per cent on year in value and 43.4 per cent in volume. (GSO)
