Switzerland Seeking to Buy Vietnamese Engineering Products

Swiss experts arrived in Vietnam from January 13-18 to assess Vietnamese enterprises’ capability to supply engineering products to Swiss companies in particular and European businesses in general.

 

The Swiss Import Promotion Program (SIPPO) will coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Promotion Department (Vietrade) in mid-October this year to organize a mission of some 10 Swiss mechanical businesses to Vietnam to work with local companies in the field.

 

This will be a good chance for Vietnamese engineering enterprises to boost production and exports to the Swiss market in particular and to the European market in general in 2009.

 

During this visit to Vietnam, SIPPO experts also worked with the Vietnam Software Association (Vinasa) to invite Vietnamese businesses to participate in CeBIT exhibition in Germany in March 2009 and survey the Swiss market.

 

Vinasa will have a stand representing Vietnam’s information and technology (IT) industry in CeBIT. (Vietnam Economic Times)
