Vietnam Okays 44 National Trade Promotion Programs
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has given the green light to 44 national trade promotion programs in the first phase this year, which will be organized by 21 business associations and the ministry’s trade promotion agency.
The State will fund around VND63 billion (US$3.7 million) for the programs, including trade fairs and exhibitions abroad, market surveys, advertising campaigns for companies exporting seafood, processed wood, handicrafts, footwear, software and apparel.
These programs will target the U.S., Europe, Japan, China, Russia, Hong Kong, Dubai, and the Czech Republic.
This year, Vietnam aims to earn US$71 billion from exports, up 13 per cent against 2008. (New Hanoi)
