Canadian Shoemakers File Anti-dumping Complaints over Vietnam Rubber Shoes
The Association of Canadian shoe producers on February 8 filed anti-dumping complaints over Chinese and Vietnamese waterproof rubber footwear to the foreign country's imports-monitoring agency..
The association submitted the complaints in line with the foreign country’s laws on special imports which are against price-subsidizing measures of imports.
George Hanna, chairman of the association was quoted by a Canadian newspaper as noting the need of create a high-competitive market and protect Canadian shoemakers.
Last year, Vietnam exported US$4.7 billion worth of shoes of different types, including US$93 million of shoe shipments to Canada. (Labor, News)
