Vietnam PM to Visit UAE mid-February

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will pay a 4-day working visit to the United Arab Emirates from Feb 16 to expand bilateral and all-rounded cooperation at the invitation of UAE's Vice President-cum-Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vietnam's Foreign Ministry's spokesman Le Dung on February 6.
 
This will be the first visit by the Vietnamese prime minister since the two countries set up the bilateral diplomatic ties in 1993.
 
Leaders of the two countries will discuss measures to boost bilateral cooperation in energy, labor, finance and agriculture as well as sign a number of legal documents used as firm ground of the ties.
 
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited Vietnam in Sept 2007.
 
Vietnam’s main exports to the UAE include foodstuffs, furniture, coffee, tea, spices, tobacco, fruits, electrical equipment and machinery. It imports oil seeds, plants, plastics. (Labor, Saigon Liberation)
