Thach Ban – 50 Years of Construction and Development

Thach Ban Joint Stock Company was set up on February 15, 1959 with the initial name of Thach Ban Brick Workshop. After 50 years of construction and development, Thach Ban has quickly become a leading construction material production unit in Vietnam and the region and gradually penetrated into the world market. On February 15, 2009, the company held a ceremony to celebrate its 50-year founding anniversary.

 

Throughout its history, Thach Ban is always a pioneer in applying absolutely new technologies in Vietnam and the region such as building and transferring baked clay brick and tile production technology, researching and applying granite brick production technology, nano technology, Mosaic bricks and enamelled tiles. The company’s products won many prestigious awards like “Vietnam High Quality Goods” Award (1998 – 2008) and Vietbuild Cup for construction firms (2002 – 2008). Thach Ban products have been exported to many nations like South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Norway, Taiwan and Hungary. Thach Ban was also the first company in Vietnam to send its specialists to other nation (Algeria) to transfer granite brick production technology.

 

While many companies are contracting their operations or production activities due to economic recession in 2008 and 2009, Thach Ban still made profit in 2008. In 2009, Thach Ban decided to set up two affiliated companies in Quang Ninh province and Hoa Binh province to build to hi-tech brick production factories with annual output of 30 million bricks each. In February 2009, the two factories will be put into production.
