German Bank Pledges US$18.9 Mln for Upgrading Bus System in Central Vietnam
The German Development Bank (KFW) has pledged to finance EUR15 million (US$18.9 million) to help upgrade the public transportation means in central Danang city which is slated for 2008-2015, local authorities said.
Under the project costing EUR16.4 million (US$20.7 million), a modern transport network with a bus route of 83.7 kilometers, including 340 bus stops and transit points will be built.
So far, Japan’s leading urban and transportation planning consultancy, Almec, has completed a feasibility study on improving the transport network in the city. (VOV, VNA)
