Vietnam Govt to Inspect EVN Privatization Process

The Government Inspectorate will examine the privatization of the Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN) and a number of its affiliates.

 

EVN subsidiaries subject to the inspection will be Pha Lai Thermal power Joint Stock Company (PPC), Khanh Hoa Electricity Joint Stock Company (KHP) and the Electrical Equipment JSC.

 

The power group is one of Vietnam’s five state enterprises, including Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin), Vietnam Garment and Textile Group (Vinatex), Vietnam Insurance Corp. and Vietnam Tourism JSC, which were selected for inspection this year.

 

Earlier, the government inspectors conducted inspection at the VNPT. (VNA, New Hanoi)
