WB to Lend US$1.2B to Vietnam Soon: Victoria Kwakwa

The World Bank will provide US$1.2 billion credits to Vietnam and believes that the Southeast Asian country's economy could maintain its growth pace, Victoria Kwakwa, Country Director in Vietnam said.
 
Victoria Kwakwa hailed efforts by the government to deal with impacts of the global downturn during the Vietnam Global Investment Conference held in Hong Kong on April 21.
 
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung assured that Vietnam's economy will grow 5 per cent to 5.5 per cent this year, inflaton will be 6 per cent.
 
The government will spend US$8 billion to boost growth this year. (Youth)
