In 1960, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd (now called Panasonic Corporation) established “Matsushita Institute of Manufacturing,” aiming at developing its line leaders in manufacturing skills, leadership, management, and innovation ability. Those four skills and abilities were evaluated as indispensable qualifications for a line leader in his management work. The establishment purpose was an implementation of the Corporation’s Policy: “We make people before we make products.”

Based on this policy, the Panasonic Institute of Manufacturing in Vietnam will provide the Basic Course and Application Course in Manufacturing Technology to Line Leaders and Sub-leaders selected in Panasonic Manufacturing companies in Vietnam. Panasonic expects to further develop its human resource in Vietnam factories, especially in manufacturing, to enhance its production in this emerging market. In the same time, the Institute’s operation is viewed as a contribution to develop the country’s industry and economy.
