Hanoi to Build More Trade Centers, Wholesale Markets by 2010

Hanoi will build several hypermarkets, trade centers, wholesale markets, logistics centers and exhibition centers in outlying districts and belt road No. 3 from now till 2020, said the city’s wholesale and retail network planning during the period.
 
The city will also mull over construction of regional wholesale markets, trade centers and hypermarkets in order to facilitate goods trading activities in the Red River Delta region.
 
Under the planning, Hanoi will build farm produce-foodstuff wholesale markets in Gia Lam and Thuong Tin districts, general farm produce markets in Tu Liem, Ung Hoa, Ba Vi and Me Linh districts, and regional trade center in Long Bien district.
 
By mid-2007, the capital city had three trade centers and 43 supermarkets, said the Hanoi Industry and Trade Department. (Labor)
