Vietnam Q1 Medical Equipment Imports +9.4 per cent at US$32.6M

Vietnam was estimated to have spent US$32.6 million on medical equipments in the first quarter, up 9.4 per cent on year, the General Customs Department said.
 
In March, Vietnam imported up to US$15.3 million of medical equipments, up 66 per cent on month and 73 per cent on year, the department noted.
 
Between January and March, visual-diagnosing facilities imported hit US$12.7 million, taking the lead among medical equipment imports, up 33 per cent on year and accounting for 39 per cent of the quarter’s total imports.
 
Vietnam is forecast to buy US$28 million-US$30 million medical facilities this quarter, up 5 per cent-7 per cent on year, the department said.
