HCM City Propose Setup of Saigon Commodity Exchange
The Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies has proposed the municipal Industry and Trade Service to establish Saigon Commodity Exchange (SCE) with an estimated investment of VND200 billion, the financial website of Vietstock said on June 4.
The SCE will cooperate with the city’s three largest wholesale markets, banks and supermarkets.
Initially, it will focus on trading farm produce and seafood by establishing three trading floors under the auction model at Thu Duc, Tan Xuan and Binh Dien farm produce markets. (vietstock.com.vn)
